Create Your Health Support Team: A Key to Healing and Wellness

As a busy mom, your days are packed with responsibilities—caring for your little one, managing the household, and possibly even juggling work. In the midst of it all, your own well-being often gets overlooked. But healing from postpartum changes like leaky bladders, persistent pain, or weak core strength requires support. You don’t have to do this alone. Having the right people by your side can make all the difference in your recovery, helping you regain your strength and confidence.

For postpartum moms facing challenges like leaky bladders, persistent pain, or weak core strength, support is essential. Healing, recovery, and thriving in this season of life can’t be done alone. You deserve a strong support network, one that cheers you on, lifts you when you’re down, and holds you accountable as you reclaim your health.

Who’s in Your Support Crew?
In the same way that I lean on my partner, my friends, or my coaches, you too need people who can guide, support, and celebrate with you. Whether it’s your partner, a friend, or a postpartum coach (like me!), having that support crew is key to your success. When life gets tough—when your pelvic floor feels weak, or when persistent pain makes it hard to move—you need someone who will remind you to rest, encourage your progress, and help you stay on track. You don’t have to face your journey alone.

You might not always have a spouse or a partner by your side, and that’s okay! It could be a friend, family member, or a group of women going through similar experiences. Whether it’s through a Facebook group, a local support group, or even a one-on-one health coach (I'm here for you!), having that person who understands and cares makes all the difference.

Find Your Accountability Partner: Your "Accountabilibuddy"
Having an “accountabilibuddy” is so important when you’re working to regain your health. When you’re balancing toddler life and trying to focus on your recovery, it’s easy to fall off track. Your accountabilibuddy can be your spouse, your best friend, or even a fellow mom who's working on similar goals. Together, you can encourage one another to move, practice pelvic floor exercises, or even take those much-needed breaks.

An accountabilibuddy isn’t just about someone to cheer you on. It’s also about someone who holds you accountable—gently reminding you to take your time, practice your exercises, and rest when needed. Their role is to support your growth, celebrate your wins, and help you stay focused on the ultimate goal of reclaiming your health.

Creating a Support Network
If you’re finding that you don’t have much of a support system right now, it’s time to build one. Seek out groups that focus on postpartum recovery, pelvic health, or chronic pain. And remember, if you need to, it’s okay to hire a coach or therapist who can support you through the process. Your success in regaining your health isn’t just about your physical exercises—it’s about surrounding yourself with the right people to cheer you on and keep you accountable.

Success comes when you have people who push you to keep going, celebrate your wins, and help you through the hard times. As a postpartum mom, you deserve this kind of support. You’re not meant to do this alone.

Building your health support network is an essential step toward reclaiming your strength and vitality.
